Finding Your “It” Passion

Our world is large by imagination. We will never get to know everyone. There are many entrepreneurs and individuals following their passion. Creating to fill the needs of others.

When we first met Katherine Gonzalez, she was a chef at a cooking school. One dinner meeting later, and “Rep for Bpassionit” was added to her resume. Katherine’s love for culinary arts has since lead her to opening a restaurant–Chula Artisan Eatery–in La Quinta, Palm Desert.

Katherine’s restaurant features local, farm fresh seasonal ingredients which are added to her Mexican cuisine creations.

We stopped in to visit Katherine at Chula while we were at Indian Wells as one of the vendors in the BNP Paribas Merchandising Tent.

I was blown away by the modern South Beach Feel. White with bright blue tufted banquet seating. The ambiance was set and everything that followed was a gastronomic delight.

I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and it was nothing like I had expected or ever had eaten. The dish was grounded with a light green corn tortillas, followed by a thin layer of fresh black bean puree, roasted green chili, and tomatillo. The perfect amount of house-made chorizo and fresh avocado, topped with a local, farm fresh egg and micro-cilantro. An amazing meal that sat perfectly light yet carried me through the day.

We are so proud of Katherine following her dream. We know it’s not an easy task. All of our dreams are different, and there are always those people who won’t believe in them. You will have rejection and will have to handle rejection. It is the passion for “it” (whatever “it” is for you) that will pull you through. If we can do it, know that you can too.

Congratulations Katherine!
